Battlemapp (Patreon version unlocks a much wider array of resources and functions, $6.50/month) Versatile 3D map maker with in-game dice-rolling and token options. AstralTabeltop (Free version with limited resources and space, $10/month for premium access) Very detailed full-game suite with many GM options, but also a decent map-building resource.

I really like Azgaar's. Takes a bit of learning to use, but very customizable and aesthetic. You can make great continent maps, or zoom in for province scale maps.

[OC] After 3000 hours of work I finally released my first game on Steam! It is a Map Maker and VTT in one software! You can use it to create beautiful animated 3D maps, export them in 4k, or use the online multiplayer to let your players dive into the campaign like never before!

  5. Any decent map-making apps for iOS? : r/rpg - Reddit

U/yosarian_reddit hinted at it, but any vector-based app will probably work for drawing maps, and it sounds like most of them would be easier to use. It all depends on what your target look and use for the map is, I suppose. That being said, the samples that yosarian posted are kick-ass and I’m going to have to check out that app myself. 1 ...

  6. What is the best map maker program? : r/dndnext - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/dndnext/comments/kcswwd/what_is_the_best_map_maker_program

Azgaar's Fantasy Map Maker is the best for making a world map right now. It is free, approachable, and you can let it be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. What I like about it is that I can make a world map the scale of our real world, it can generate a lot of the details for me (where is there precipitation, leading to rivers ...

  7. List of all 3D map makers (I have used) and my thoughts

    www.reddit.com/r/DMAcademy/comments/jnptw2/list_of_all_3d_map_makers_i_have...

Dynamic Dungeons - Probably the first and most popular. He makes fantastic looking maps and releases a few a month on Patreon, but the "map making" ability of this program is almost non-existant. There are a couple of tiles and props, but they are not nearly diverse enough. Also, you have to purchase his editor/player software separately ($30).

For those who haven't seen BattleMapp.io yet, I've been putting together a map-maker that (mostly!) works in the browser. It's 3D and includes lots of models and effects. The latest update includes 32 dungeon rooms, some spell AOE shapes and minor bug fixes.

  9. Map creator software suggestions : r/DnD - Reddit

NarissaHN. • 2 yr. ago. DungeonDraft is quick and easy to use for mostly simple maps (dungeons, roads, small city streets). You can make bigger map, but it will take more work and probably buy a few assets. But, there’s also tons of free assets to ge when it comes to smaller stuff. Enough so that you probably won’t have to spend more ...

  10. Free map makers : r/DnD - Reddit

It's not free, but it was worth every penny to me, Wonderdraft is a really easy to use map making software, and if you want battlemaps instead of world maps, their other product DungeonDraft is great too. 3. Reply. Musalog • 1 yr. ago. Second this. Both are very easy to use and not all that expensive. Been using both for my campaign that ive ...

Resource. Hey everyone, I'm Thomas, and as a passion project I've been developing Fantasy Town Generator. It's a free webapp that DMs can use to create detailed, customisable settlement maps - from villages to cities. In addition to the map, it creates the buildings, people, and factions in the city. You can see some examples in this imgur post.
