  2. A Minecraft map-art generator : r/technicalminecraft - Reddit

In this case it will balance out the blocks used in the map between all the selected block types. This allows spreading the resource drain across several material types. List of material could show a unit "shulker boxes" (at least for large amounts). I like this suggestion, will add it when I get some time

  3. Great work! I just used this to render my 23-gigabyte world and it chugged along just fine. To render the full map as an image would have produced an image twice as wide as the 32K Windows bitmap limit. Nevertheless, I tried, and Mapee promptly shit the bed completely. Obviously this isn't your fault, but I thought it'd be funny. Cheers!

  4. Minecraft Mapmakers: Centralized Subreddit

    www.reddit.com/r/Minecraftmapmakers

This is a place for Minecraft mapmakers to discuss all things map making related. This subreddit is not centered around any genre of maps, or any particular feature. It is also not intended for self promotion: Trailers, LP's, Direct links to Threads or DL's, etc.

  5. Place a banner at that spot, and then right click the banner with the map in your hand. It'll then show a map marker at that spot. You don't need to know any coordinates at all. Take a banner, rename in an anvil to put a label, then simply place the banner and click on it with the map.

  6. I updated my tool to help you create map art in Survival

    www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/gu1npm

I've updated my map art structure tool (original release post), mostly to allow configuring which blocks to use for which color. Notable changes: Now outputs structure files which can be placed in-game using structure blocks. All map blocks - except water - are now configurable in config.txt. More terrain modes: staircase, flat, ascending ...

  7. New Map Art Generator for Minecraft 1.14+ - Reddit

1: This is pretty simple. Open your world in-game and create a new blank map. Note which map number it is, then save and exit your world. 2: Open your world save folder. In the "data" folder, find the map_xx.dat file that corresponds to the blank map you made. 3: Find the generated map item file and rename it to match the map_xx.dat file in ...

  8. Minecraft on reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/wiki/mapmaking

Tools. MCEdit is one of the main third party tools you will use when making a Minecraft map. You can go into your worlds, and edit it to your liking, and on a very large scale. If you are looking to edit items, entities, and other things in your map, you will need an NBT editor. NBT Explorer will work for all .jars, including snapshots.

  9. Transparent Map Arts! : r/Minecraft - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/qjyl01/transparent_map_arts

Map the area and make sure the map only shows the void and then from there build your glass platform based on the map of the void. This will create a transparent map which you can build on top of. For the full transparent effect your server would need to allow invisible item frames tho.

  10. Best height map maker? : r/Worldpainter - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/Worldpainter/comments/z23815/best_height_map_maker

Really informative. I actually never took real world elevation range vs. Minecraft height into account, and that solves a lot of questions. I obtain a rough estimate for terrain length of a map using Google Earth, and then I compare the WP map dimensions to that GE length to get a scale factor percentage.

  11. This suggestion is intended only as a solution to part of 1: Portal transfer blocks (nether, end) may include NBT data relevant to a map creator, datapack function, or server host, in order to influence player activity, and transfer networks.
