    It looks like liveworksheets.com offers a different service than Super Teacher Worksheets. Liveworksheets.com is mostly interactive exercises in dozens of languages that can be done on a digital device without the use of paper and offers answer-checking, while Super Teacher Worksheets has PDFs in English only that are intended as printables.

    The term "worksheet" is silly. There are TONS of things that would fall under the umbrella term "worksheet"--some of which are highly useful and others that are not. The problem with worksheets is that it only looks like students are learning the content, but they may or may not actually be learning anything.

    I use Super Teacher worksheets. They are affordable at about $30/ year. I also use New Path Worksheets for the same reason. They are affordable at about the same price, but they also include some study guides and state standards. I use IXL and Wyzant gives you at least one free year.

    ereadingworksheets.com is a good free resource for anything in the language arts realm. They’re not always the most “fun” but they’re great for practice or to pull examples from for instruction. CommonLit is also free. It’s similar to Newsela with more of a focus on fiction.

    I make some myself if I can't find what I'm looking for online but there are a few sites I love for premade stuff. My favourite online resources are: ESL Brains. One Stop English. Tim's Free Lesson Plans. Lesson Plans Digger (particularly for students studying towards the Cambridge exams) Breaking News English.

    The best advice I ever got as a teacher is to avoid going to extremes. Comprehension should be balanced with rote memorization. Group work should be balanced with independent work. Active movement with quiet time. Positive reinforcement with punishment. If your kids crave pencil paper worksheets, maybe you need a balance of those as well.
