Title. I've been using 1337x for years and never had a problem, until today when I tried to download a movie and it sends me to this weird 1337vpn page or something like that. Can't magnet download or direct download the torrent either, seems like it happened overnight does anyone else know why or if there's a way around it?
Matter of fact, when I started I searched up "how to download from 1337x" and it told me how. Hate to say it but for questions like this google seriously is a bazillion times faster than waiting for a reply, unless for some reason you can't access any search engine whatsoever.

1337x started demanding a VPN before being able to download, so I went on and got Mozilla VPN. Yet the site still transfers me after clicking magnet download to this weird screen to force another vpn on me? And yes, I'm using the real 1337x.to. How can I fix this, and how do these torrent platforms actually know I'm using a VPN? Thanks in advance.
27 votes, 23 comments. true. A workaround is to right click on download page and select "View page source", then scroll down until you see the lines that go completely across the page, there will be mostly orange numbers with a purple link at the end.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but when I went to go download a movie from 1337x like normal it told me I couldn't download torrents without a VPN. Strange I thought, I was able to download a few days ago no problem. But when I turned on my VPN (PIA) it still wouldn't work, all the links redirect to a blank page.
I wanted to save some .torrent files from my favorite uploader for later use but on 1337x I can't download the torrent file, only magnet link and info hash is available, is there any way to just download the file and not its content?
29 votes, 222 comments. true. i fixed this issue by when the pop up pops up that says "Download without vpn" or "get free vpn" Just right click on "download without VPN" click copy link which copies the url magnet for the download and paste that into any browser (works on chrome) which then allows you to download the torrent.
