Discovered in Redwood National Park in 2006 in an unpublished location, the tallest living tree is the coast redwood tree (Sequoia sempervirens) named Hyperion, at 380 feet (120 m). It is followed by Helios at 377 feet (115 m), and Icarus at 371 feet (113 m), both also in Redwood National Park. [86]

Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve is a state park of California in the United States established to preserve 805 acres (326 ha) of coast redwoods ( Sequoia sempervirens ). The reserve is located in Sonoma County, just north of Guerneville . The reserve is in a temperate rainforest.

These buildings include the Pioneer Store, the Bank of San Mateo County building, the Sequoia Hotel, and the Alhambra Theater.
According to the National Park Service, "In 1929, Clara W. Stout, widow of lumberman Frank D. Stout, donated this tract of old-growth redwood forest to Save the Redwoods League."
