2023-11-08 10:28 AM. So sorry for the vagueness of it all! I'm not very tech savvy, but to answer a few of your questions: the firmware I downloaded is the latest one, which to my knowledge is 1.0.1.80 for the extender itself. The router is a Spectrum WiFi6 router SAX1V1K router.
Prodigy. 2021-05-03 09:14 PM. By far the easiest way to perform the setup is to simply power the extender on, and then connect to the open network that it creates. Then either enter in the extender's IP or the mywifiext page (the extender will intercept the DNS request and redirect you to the local web UI for the extender).

2020-11-05 10:48 AM. If you change your primary routers 2.4ghz channel, the extender will switch to match. When running in extender mode, the router and extender have to be on the same wireless channel. As @schumaku said, only in AP (access point) mode can you individually select channels for the extender.

I do want to change some of the security settings, check the firmware levels and customize things to my needs though. After some intense investigation using the web interface (mywifiext.* and 192.168.0.250 didn't work), I was able to determine the IP address of my extender and was able to bring up the "new extender setup" page.
