My sister and I are owners of Bertha 1-32-29-20H in Hughes county, OK. Trinity is the operator. We’ve had problems with communication with them over royalties and the tax amount owed to us. Our royalties (when they come) are by direct deposit per their request. We’ve been requesting royalty statements from them, with no response. What do we do now?
My sister has small % mineral rights royalty with Firebird for 6 wells: MB 1-6H, SEC: 6 BLK: X SRV: Hilliard H P ABS: 15 She has been getting checks between $150-225 per month for about a year. A new operator took over and the EnergyLink statement called the decimal interests ‘owner interest and distribution interest’. On the check voucher from the operator the column, Distribution Interest was called Payment Interest. The royalty was calculated against the Distribution/Payment interest.
Repsol updated their accounting system and switched over to Energylink as their statement provider. With these updates, their statements have become more detailed and are reporting by individual tracts instead of combining them if they’re from the same well. They also started listing different types of gas instead of just MCF.
