Fantasia on British Sea Songs. Fantasia on British Sea Songs or Fantasy on British Sea Songs is a medley of British sea songs arranged by Sir Henry Wood in 1905 to mark the centenary of the Battle of Trafalgar. For many years it has been an indispensable item at the BBC's Last Night of the Proms concert.
The one occasion the band was introduced as 'The Alan Parsons Project' in a live performance was at The Night of the Proms in October 1990. He conducted them for nearly half a century, introducing hundreds of new works to British audiences.
Night of the Proms 2005 was a European musical touring event in 2005. This CD compilation contains songs from the tour, including "The Sign" and "All That She Wants" by Ace of Base. It also included other artists like Donna Summer, Safri Duo, Roger Daltrey (from The Who ). The CD was released by Sony BMG Music in Belgium on December 20, 2005.
