Etc. I finally just finished watching it on Pluto's website with my computer--and it ran without freezing. I'd thought the problem was with the strength of my signal, but a couple days ago, I was visiting a friend in a different city, and we decided to watch a movie (Red River) on Pluto. After roughly 20 minutes, it froze on that set too.
The channel developers themselves maintain channels on Roku. In this case, an issue within that specific channel likely needs to be addressed with an update from them. Yesterday, the Pluto TV app stopped working on all of our Roku TVs and devices. We’ve followed all the steps mentioned in old posts, including re-setting the TVs and devices, clearing cache, and removing and re-adding the Pluto app. SW / firmware on TVs, devices and app are up to date.
Select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart. Reinstall the channel: navigate to your Home, scroll and select Store, look for the app, then press Add channel. After doing so, kindly highlight the channel tile of Pluto TV and press the start (*) button on your remote to update the app.

Everything ok except Pluto Tv app not working. The app starts to load but then just goes back to the Roku Home screen. I have deleted the app, restarted Roku, and reinstalled the Pluto App but same results. I have 4 other Roku’s in the house (NOT the Ultra model) and the Pluto app works fine on those. Any ideas?
When you are in the the Pluto TV channel/app, press the Left arrow button (once or twice depending where you are in the channel/app) to bring up a left side Menu Overlay. (you should see Now Watching, Home, Channel Guide, On Demand, Search, Kids Mode, Settings, and Sign In). Select Sign In and you should be good to go.
I set it up with my regular channels and signed into all, except Pluto TV. I have the app but, when I open it, it shows the Pluto logo, goes black for 3 seconds and then goes back to the Roku Home Screen. I removed Pluto, restarted Roku, re-added Pluto several times and nothing changes. I've also checked for updates but everything is up to date.

Re: Pluto TV keeps recycling to home screen after App update. FYI: I have the Roku 4230X SW Ver. 13.1.4 build 1510-04. Frustrated with YouTube issues on my device, I decided to try Factory resetting it. Afterwards I reloaded the channels, including Pluto. It appears to be ver. 5.37 build 7.
