Seems like Walgreens is about to close 8700 stores which is about 80 percent of their US stores. That leaves just about 2000 stores. Seems like no one is bothered by this. I waited all day and saw no one posting. Walgreens and CVS are major employers and both are struggling. Rite-Aid is about to close all US stores.
Walgreens doesn't want to shut down the pharmacy for 30 minutes so the pharmacist can have an uninterrupted lunch break and be able to leave the store. If the pharmacist is allowed to leave the store, Walgreens would have to close the pharmacy during that period, because no pharmacist is "in charge" of the pharmacy.

Walked into work today and my store manager informed me that Walgreens is implementing a 30 minute lunch break for pharmacists chain-wide. Not just select stores/“pilot stores”. They are still in the process of thinking about the logistics and how it will be implemented but the company is following through with this .
If you have 20+ in all categories, a 15 min wait time is probably not a viable option, unless of course, sick child instore, relatively easy rx, etc. If you look at your district average for average wait time, most stores that have low ones are, obviously the new stores first. Mid to high volume stores, mark waiters only about 15-20% of the time.
