With the web player open, I played music with the Spotify app on my phone, clicked Devices Available on the bottom of the app, and then switched it to Spotify Web Player. The browser/web player started playing like normal again, as if it got "unstuck". If it's indeed the same problem, worst case you might need to fiddle with different devices ...
To use the web player, you can try the following steps: Open a web browser on your device and go to the Spotify web player website: open.spotify.com. If you are redirected to the app, try disabling the app by going to Settings > Apps > Spotify > Open by default > Clear defaults.

Plan. Premium. Country. United States. Device. Laptop. Operating System. Windows 10 . My Question or Issue. On the web player, when I double click a song to play or single click the play icon to the left of the song, it always skips to the next song and then skips to the next until it gets to the song six rows below the song I selected, and then it attempts to "play" the song.
When using the web player, it will skip ahead 5 songs and then will only play the first 10 seconds of the song. I have found a "solution" for only playing 10 seconds, have the web player open in two different tabs and the second one will play all of the song. However, it still skips ahead 5 songs in the second window.

On the spotify web player, my play button (all the controls at the button) are greyed out. When I click to play a song, it doesn't play. I can play music on the Desktop app just fine, but not on the web player. I tried incognito mode, also tried doing Shift+F5, tried logging out and back in, but not fixed. This issue only appeared today.
