The range of possible scores in Ticket to Ride is 635. The minimum is -340, and the maximum is 295. The minimum can only be achieved with two players. Your opponent keeps two goals, which must be Denver to El Paso and Kansas City to Houston. You must then draw every other goal in the game without playing any trains.
29. No, Each player can only use the 45 train cars in their supply. If you have no train cars left on your last turn, then you can't claim a route that turn. [ticket-to-ride] – L. Scott Johnson. Aug 19, 2022 at 18:57. This sounds a bit like a rule someone teaching the game has made up to give them an advantage.
21. 1. Player 4 takes his last turn and so on until player 3 closes the game. The manual for Ticket to Ride says this: Game End. When one player’s stock of colored plastic trains gets down to only 0,1 or 2 trains left at the end of his turn, each player, including that player, gets one final turn. The game then ends and players calculate ...
It is theoretically possible on Ticket to Ride USA, which has a in the balpark of 130 -140 train car spots on routes of length 3 or shorter, and there are 240 train cars in the game. Getting to such a situation would require players to focus heavily on acquiring all the shortest routes first, which is a bad plan because longer routes have much ...
Just the same as in the tabletop version, these are the points gained for claiming routes - i.e. 1/2/4/7/10/15 points for a route of length 1/2/3/4/5/6 (in the original game, slight variation in different versions). It's where your scoring marker would be in the tabletop game.
Ticket to Ride won the Spiel des Jahres (Germany's Game of the Year) award in 2004. 2 years later they release a German map. Gaming is a much bigger deal in Germany than it is in the US, and thus making a German Map that the German people would recognize would probably sell really well.
4. @CrazyJugglerDrummer - Europe has locomotives, ferries and tunnels on top of the USA rules. Nordic Countries though has completely new, more complicated rules on top of the Europe rules. It would be a mistake to think, just because you know one set of Ticket to Ride rules, you know them all. They are, quite deceptively given that they're all ...
The rules say. The player who has the Longest Continuous Path of routes receives this special bonus card and adds 10 points to his score. When evaluating and comparing path lengths, only take into account continuous lines of plastic trains of the same color. A continuous path may include loops, and pass through the same city several times, but ...
You can see in the lower right hand corner that I have 3 stations available. If I click on my stations I get the same dialog that I get if I click my avatar, the one that shows routes complete, train cards, route cards, and trains. Curiously, it does not list stations. I've tried all the modifiers, control, command, option, shift click etc...
I'm not sure there's much math in that. It's probably more lots and lots of playtesting. When the 1910 expansion was released, the classic version provided tickets that balanced the game in a different (in most people's opinion: better) way because more games had been played, and more pros/cons of the standard ticket set had been discovered.
